I came to the club for one of my classmate's Bachelor party because according to Ridhan, I need to be more social.
So here we are at the entrance of club elixir.
The bass rumbled beneath my feet as I stepped into the club, a wave of heat and loud music hitting like a punch.
Strobe lights cut through the smoke-filled air, illuminating faces of strangers, all moving to the beat.
The crowd swayed together in perfect sync, but my eyes were fixed on her, my hazel, yes she was here with the same girls from the cafe.
The moment I found her in the crowd, the air shifted. My heart caught, not just because she was beautiful, but because it felt like she owned the room, and I, a mere spectator, couldn't look away. I definitely found my elixir in here.
A/n: As elixir means amrit, so here Rudransh is referring to the name of club and Ruhi's presence.
She wasn't like the girls in the magazines-too perfect, too distant. No, she was like a summer storm-unexpected and powerful.
It wasn't just the way her skin glowed in the dim light, or the way her laughter turned heads; it was the ease with which she carried herself-like she belonged exactly where she was, in a way that made the world seem right.
I was lost in her beauty when she turned her head and searched for someone, maybe she was looking for me and just When she looked at me, it felt like the room was shrinking. She made me forget everything except her presence.
Our gazes met across the room, and for a split second, time slowed. Her eyes held mine, not in challenge, but in invitation, like a promise of something more. My heart stuttered in my chest, but I couldn't look away. Even when saransh (one of the friend) ask me something, I replied him without breaking the gaze.
Soon enough our staring contest was over when her friends involved her in their conversation and after a while she left for the dance floor with her friends.
Her hips swayed with the kind of confidence I couldn't ignore, her arms tracing the air above her head as if she were painting invisible strokes in the dark. She was lost in the music, and I was lost in her, when Suddenly she slapped one of the guy dancing behind her. I couldn't see what he did due to the crowd but I got the hint.
I left my seat to go towards her, I was half way through the crowd when he raised his hand to slap her. So, I grabbed the nearby bottle and through it at him aiming his head, the bottle hit his head making him lost his balance and fell down.
Ruhi and her friends looked at me, while on her friend's faces it was recognition of who I'm, Ruhi's expressions were of surprise, confusion, and many more.
"Are you okay," I asked her when I reached beside her.
"Ummm, yeah," she replied to me with a little hesitation in her voice
I looked at my men present in the club and said, "throw him out of the club."
To which they soon got to their work, while in the meantime Ruhi and her friends left the stage and got seated at nearby barstools.
Ridhan came to me being all curious and asked me; "what happened, why did you do that."
"Nothing concerning," I told him and left the club to tell my men what to do with that bastard.
I reached the club's parking lot; "take him to the den Vikram, I would deal with him later."
With saying this, I head back to the club when I met Ruhi at the entrance.
"I thought you left," she said timidly.
"Ahem.... can we talk for a moment," she asked me and who I'm to say no to the queen.
"Yeah sure," I said and lead her to a quiet secluded park near the club.
"Thank you for, you know what you did there," she started speaking as soon we reached the park.
There were very few lights on in the park; it was only the moonlight that illuminated the entire park.
And.
She looked even more beautiful in the moonlight, as the moonlight sparkled in her eyes, making her hazel brown eyes shimmer in the moonlight, like desert sand glistening in the light.
"I'm more than happy to help you," I replied to her.
I can sense she's nervous from her gestures; so, I asked her, "anything bothering you."
"Hann... can I ask you something," she asked me with little hesitation evident in her eyes and voice.
"Yes of course, you can ask me anything you want to."
"Who are you?"
"Matlab?"
"Matlab you know you don't seem to be some ordinary man, you know that news, people were treating you like you're some kind of king and all."
"I mean yeah, I got it, what you did was impressive but why you would do that, like are you some cop?" "Undercover agent?"
"It was so confusing or uske uper se vo phool, were you sending me those flowers everyday?"
She said in one breath making me chuckle; making her glare at me.
"So, you think what I did was impressive, hmm..."
"You heard only that part?"
"I heard everything but that was the only thing; I would love to hear, now coming to your questions, you tell me what do you think who am I ?"
"Tch, mujhe pta hota to tumse thodi na puchti, she stated obvious."
(If I had knew, why would I ask you).
I chortled and replied to her, "I'm the king and as a king it was my responsibility to save my people."
She said; "youuuu, then pointed her finger at me 👉, king?"
I nodded to her and she laughed - like literally laughed and said between her laughter, "It's 21st century Rathore sahab."
"And I'm the king of Rajasthan in 21st century, Ruhi sahiba."
She removed her phone from the bag, searched something; ohh so now she's shocked.
"Ahem, sooo you're like real king."
"Yeah like real king."
"Omgggg, I can't believe it, like I was getting flowers from a kinggg," she squealed.
"Did I mention something about flowers."
"Wait it wasn't you?"
"Maybe it was me, maybe not."
"I knew it was you."
I took a step forward, eager to lessen the distance between us and said in a low husky voice; "and how you know that, hmmmm....."
"I-I just know; 6th sense you know, I felt it was you...."
"Soooo..... as you're the king, you always do this hero type of things."
"Are we changing the topic here, hmmm?"
"Hum ta bas tohare ke samjhe ke chahat rahni, I mean; I just wanted to understand you."
I chuckled at her cuteness, and said; "I'm more of a villain Ruhi, rather than the hero."
As we were talking, due to breeze her hair danced, falling across her face in delicate waves, I impulsively tucked those strands behind her ear; my fingers grazed her soft skin in the process, which blazed my body with racing heartbeat and that weird feeling in my stomach.
Before any of us could react or say something; her phone rang, which brought us back from the reverie.
Answering the call she left from there, leaving me behind; all bothered and occupied with thoughts of her.
I watched her retreating figure until she disappeared past the gates, her perfume still lingering in the air, teasing my senses.
I took a deep breath, trying to calm the storm inside me, but it was pointless. That bastard’s face flashed before my eyes again, and every muscle in my body tensed.
How dare he.
How dare he touch what’s mine.
I clenched my fists and walked to my car, each step echoing with the weight of my fury. The world outside blurred — neon lights, laughter, chaos — all fading into nothing. The only thing that existed was the rage clawing at my chest.
By the time I reached the den, the silence there was deafening. My men straightened the moment I entered, heads bowed, eyes lowered. The air shifted — thick, heavy, charged.
Vikram met my gaze, no words needed.
“Inside?” I asked. My voice came out calm, too calm — the kind that scares even the fearless.
“Yes, hukum,” he replied.
I walked down the narrow corridor, the sound of my shoes echoing off the walls. With every step, I felt the fire in my chest burn hotter. The door at the end of the hallway stood open, light spilling through like a challenge.
I stopped just before entering, rolling up my sleeves.
If the man wanted to disrespect, he’d learn tonight — through pain and fear.
I stepped in. The temperature in the room seemed to drop. My voice was low when I finally spoke.
“I believe we need to have a conversation.”
He stuttered, pleading and asking for mercy, " Hu..Hukum, I'm sorry, I — I didn't know she...."
I didn’t givehim the courtesy of finishing his filthy excuse. My fist caught his jaw before the next syllable left his mouth.
"You made a grave mistake, and there's no mercy for that, you'll pay for what you did by your blood."
He tried to speak, but a blow to his nose cut him off. Blood warmed my knuckles; his voice dissolved into a dirty cry.
Then I took two steps back, unclasped my watch and picked up the hammer from the table, inspecting it if it were a precision tool and not a weapon, then with a calculated strike I hit his knee breaking the bones beneath with a crackling sound.
"Aaahhh... ple—please let let me ahhhh go." He gasped, useless prayers spilling from him.
I replied to him by another hit to his wrist of both hands, then his elbow breaking every joint, my final strike was on his jaw. Each movement was deliberate.
He was crying, bleeding — and still I felt the hunger to press the lesson more. I set the hammer down and reached for a smaller tool, a beautiful black plucker, and ordered my man to bring me a chair.
I sat on the chair and peacefully started my work on his nail plucking each one of them carefully.
I don't know why he was howling and crying in pain, I mean, I was only plucking his nails, that too very carefully.
I still had things in my mind to do with him but Ridhan’s call cut through the cadence, I stopped mid-gesture, wiping my hands on a cloth and went upstairs to clean myself and change into new pair of clothes.
When I was leaving, I ordered my man, "Throw him in a cell and leave rats all over him and his bloody dick."
"He should know what happens when you think from your dick instead of your brain."
